Paper Covered Aluminium Wires
Paper Insulated Aluminium Wire consists of electrical conductors wrapped in layers of specially treated paper insulation, such as Mica Tape, Kraft Paper, Thermally Upgraded Paper, and Aramide Paper. This insulation is widely used in high-voltage electrical applications, offering excellent dielectric properties that help prevent electrical breakdown. Additionally, paper insulation is more sustainable due to its biodegradability.
Usage/Application
Paper-insulated aluminium conductors are commonly used in oil-filled power and distribution transformers, dry-type transformers, high-tension motors, and windmill generators.
The high-grade paper is specially treated and impregnated with insulating oils or resins, enhancing its electrical and thermal properties.
