Paper Covered Copper Strips

Our Paper Covered Copper Strips are insulated with kraft paper, making them a preferred choice for oil-filled transformers. Layers of plain kraft paper are wrapped around the conductors to achieve the desired insulation strength. For applications requiring tight coil shaping, creped kraft paper is used. The creping process enhances elasticity and flexibility, minimizes insulation breakage, and increases surface area for better oil absorption, resulting in improved heat dissipation and insulation during operation.

Usage/Application

  • Oil-Cooled Transformers: Ideal for insulation in oil-filled and current transformers (IMB, CT, CVT).
  • Lead and Shield Wires: Suitable for PT windings, as well as lead and terminal wires.
  • Custom Applications: Can adapt to various shapes when wound on FRP rings (3 to 12 turns) based on transformer requirements.
